Receiving no formal training in fashion design Sally Omeme learned to knit in the early 2000’s. It wasn’t until she attended the John Casablancas Institute in August 2011, her dream of becoming a knitwear designer was encouraged by her instructors. She knit her first collection for the John Casablancas Institute fashion show Empyrean on May 24, 2012.
As a newly emerging knitwear designer, Sally Omeme has bright hopes for the future. Never afraid to experiment using different fabrics. The entire collection for Eco Fashion Week has been created using second hand materials.
When not knitting, she continues to pursue her passion projects of writing, creating, working on photo shoots, and dreaming up other passion projects.
